If I say maybe, do I get the job?

 

Okay, let me give a little explanation.  I recently applied to work at a local Blockbuster, and just this Friday, went into my first interview with the manager.  She wanted to know how much I knew about games and gaming, after I'd told her most likely more than she would ever want to hear about the subject she declared that I had knowledge of games down.  Which is nice to know, I suppose.

 

When it finally got down to the last fifteen minutes of the meeting or so, she hit me with a question that really caught me off-guard.  She stated that she was looking for two kinds of people for her store: 

 

The animated sort with lots of energy, to run around the store constantly helping customers.

And "Pretentious Climbers".  Her words.  Basically people who do whatever, whenever, however, and generally manage things so the store manager doesn't have to.

 

She decided she wanted another interview with me early this week, and told me to have an answer for her by then.

 

So...am I Animated...or am I a Pretentious Climber?  I drove home pretty much repeating that question to myself, wondering what the fuck.  Both my folks offered differing opinions.

 

In the meantime, I've been a busy giant monkey.  Recording from Resident Evil 5 and the last half of set V of Code Veronica X.

 

I swear to fuck that I'm going to go insane before I've finished RE: CVX.  Those of you who've been watching the series from the start can probably tell me the instant the game started eroding my sanity.  Such knowledge might come in handy for the counseling I'm going to require once this game is over.

 

A couple quickies, and a new X-Box live Halo stuff thing are in the works.  I'm also going to be streaming now every once in a while.  The first live show's gonna be on air soon over at ustream!
